Legal & Professional Services: Client confidentiality is non-negotiable.
Law firms and professional services handle sensitive client information every day. A breach doesn’t just cost money. It costs trust, reputation, and potentially your licence to practise. Protecting it is the whole point of what we do.
Your clients trust you with their secrets.
Professional services firms are high-value targets. Sensitive client data, trust account information, and privileged communications make every inbox worth attacking.
Security built for privileged information.
Law firms hold some of the most sensitive information in any business: privileged communications, trust account details, settlement negotiations, corporate transactions, and personal client information. A breach doesn’t just trigger a notification obligation. It can trigger disciplinary proceedings, malpractice claims, and irreparable damage to client relationships built over decades.
Staff see only the files they need.
We build security architectures that match legal confidentiality requirements. Client-matter isolation in your document management system, ethical walls between practice groups where required, and access controls that ensure staff see only what they need. These aren’t IT decisions. They’re professional obligation decisions implemented through technology.
Remote work meets the same security standard.
Remote work changed legal practice permanently. Lawyers reviewing documents from home, paralegals accessing files from court, and clients expecting secure document exchange. Every remote connection is protected by conditional access policies, device compliance requirements, and encrypted tunnels. The security standard doesn’t change because the location does.
Documents are easy to find and produce.
Document-heavy workflows need infrastructure designed for them. Through our Microsoft 365 service, we configure SharePoint document libraries with proper metadata, version control, and retention policies. Search actually works. Collaboration doesn’t create version conflicts. And when a file needs to be produced for litigation or regulatory review, the audit trail is already there. SharePoint is also covered by our independent Microsoft 365 backup, stored in Canada only.
AI use is managed, not left to chance.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is already inside your firm whether you’ve sanctioned it or not. Every prompt from staff can expose privileged information, and the regulatory and reputational fallout from a single leak can far outweigh the productivity gain. We help firms turn AI into a managed capability: acceptable use policies that meet Law Society expectations, technical controls that keep client confidences in your tenant, and training that turns it into a sharpened tool rather than a quiet liability. Policies, training and rollouts are IT consulting work, scoped and quoted separately. AI workflow analysis is also available as part of our consulting practice.

Frequently asked questions.
Fake payment instructions sent from a compromised or look-alike email account are a common fraud against law firms. We filter inboxes for phishing and business email compromise, and train staff to recognize these attacks with regular phishing simulations. The most important habit is simple: confirm any change to banking details by phone, using a number you already trust, never one from the email.
Microsoft 365 email, SharePoint and OneDrive are backed up independently of Microsoft three times a day, with a second copy at your office, all stored in Canada only. We keep those backups for at least seven years. Your own retention policies decide how long records stay in your system, and we set those up in SharePoint to match.
Your systems are monitored 24/7 by a human-led security operations centre, and confirmed threats are contained automatically. We then investigate, clean up and give you a written incident report, all included in your managed plan. Clicking a link is a common mistake, and reporting it quickly is what matters.
Your obligations also cover your own policies and how lawyers and staff handle client information, so no IT provider can meet them alone. We provide the technical side: access controls, ethical walls where required, encryption, backups stored in Canada, and the documented evidence behind each answer when your insurer or the Law Society asks.
